INDEPENDENT UX/UI DESIGNER

Digital experiences with a little more feeling.

I’m Mara. I design thoughtful interfaces for the little decisions people make every day.

MY PROCESS

From idea
to handoff.

Four small steps make decisions easier to discuss.

See the process ↗
  1. 1. Discover

Agree on the decision to improve. Gather examples, constraints and a baseline task.

  2. 2. Design

Compare two plausible directions and choose what to refine together.

  3. 3. Prototype

Make the critical interaction tangible and rehearse a short, neutral task.

  4. 4. Handoff

Document behaviour, states, responsive rules and open questions.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

A few good questions.

See all questions ↗
What should I bring to a first conversation?

Describe the audience, their main task and any constraints. Use the brief to put those details together.

Can we start with one part of a product?

Yes. A single journey, page family or component set makes a useful first scope when it has a clear audience and decision.

What does handoff include?

Agree on screens, responsive rules, interaction states, asset formats and review points before the work begins.

A SMALL BEGINNING
