The site combines expressive artwork with readable content and deliberate controls. These are supported features and practical limitations, not an accessibility certification.
Keyboard and controls
Use the skip link to reach the main content. Navigation, filters, disclosures, tabs and the brief support keyboard use. The small-screen menu closes with Escape and restores focus.
Season tabs support arrow keys, Home and End. Enter or Space opens the selected season. There are no automatic slideshows or required dragging interactions.
Reading and motion
Text can reflow on smaller screens and enlarged layouts. Essential content stays visible. Reduced-motion preferences remove decorative transitions, and forced-colour modes retain meaningful borders and focus indicators.
Images have text alternatives. Schematic plans have equivalent descriptions, and meaningful information is not conveyed by colour alone.
Without JavaScript
All pages, garden stories, plant notes, seasonal studies and journal articles remain readable. All collection entries are shown. The full brief questionnaire appears as a static sequence.
Search, filtering, multiple plant selections and generated brief review/downloads require JavaScript. No information is delivered to a server.
Known limitations
Generated plant illustrations are not identification aids. Garden diagrams are illustrative and not to scale. The interactive brief is lost on navigation or reload.
Automated browser checks do not establish physical-device or independent screen-reader acceptance. This fictional demo has no connected accessibility support inbox.
