Sidekick SodaFOOD & DRINK / FICTIONAL BRAND STUDY
Field Notes
A small observation can begin a good ritual. A rising yellow sun and a generous label frame make room for the information that matters.

THE IMAGINED BRIEF
What should
this brand do?
An imagined neighbourhood roaster needs a warm identity that makes choosing a daily coffee feel straightforward, without losing the curiosity of a small independent business.
THE PEOPLE IT IS FOR
Start with their world.
People who enjoy good coffee but do not want a specialist vocabulary to buy a bag. The identity needs to work at a market stall, on a shelf and in a compact café.
This is a fictional study. No real commission, launch or measured business result is implied.
THE CENTRAL IDEA
A small observation can begin a good ritual.
Deep green gives the range a steady foundation. Warm yellow adds a recognizable signal, while cream space keeps origin and brewing notes easy to find. A simple sun becomes a flexible framing device rather than decoration on every surface.
THE SYSTEM IN USE
Same idea.
Different encounters.

THE DESIGN DECISIONS
Personality,
with a purpose.
- Keep the product name and practical details in a predictable place.
- Use one clear sun gesture across print, signage and small digital crops.
- Allow the imagery to feel tactile rather than presenting an over-polished luxury coffee brand.
ILLUSTRATIVE DELIVERABLES
A connected set of parts.
- Positioning outline and voice principles
- Identity, colour and type direction
- Coffee packaging system
- Cup, sign and tasting-card applications
Mockups explain the direction. Final production artwork, content, rights and implementation would be agreed for a real project.
